The little village of Mošnice was called Maschnitz and the Nová Ves settlement was called Neudörfl by the Germans. Today both settlements are attached to the municipality authority in Snědovice. Mošnice underwent a boom in the late 19th century when 162 residents were living in 20 houses. Nová Ves had 8 houses and 58 residents. Currently, Mošnice is a place for just five residents and Nová Ves is only used for holiday stays.
